Halloween Day

This Halloween we had an astronaut (Will), some Bee's (Tyler & Andrew) and an alligator (Andrew). The boys had a lot of fun his Halloween - they had school parties, school parades, a special visit from Captain Hook, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and an evening filled with trick-or-treating. They managed to go to a lot of houses gathering a lot of candy!

Captain Underpants Fans!

With three boys you can only imagine the tales of fun and laughter we have going on in our home. The best is when the books start to come alive. A simple trip the library, followed by some careful selecting of several Captain Underpants books and waa laa! Here we have it a simple request by Mom to get on your pajamas and here we have not one but two Captain Underpants!

Bullis Charter School Walkathon

Have you all read the book, Go Dog Go - need I say more.

Andrew showing you the bracelets they received after walking a lap - you can only imagine what their arms looked like.
The Bullis Charter School Walk-A-Thon while quite an event. Tyler walked 15 miles and Andrew walked 16 miles. I could barely get the kids off the course. Andrew is pretty excited because he walked the most miles out of his kindergarten class so he gets to have lunch with Ms. Hersey, the Principal!

Pumpkin Mania

This year we celebrated the fall season hosting a Pumpkin Festival. The boys grew a gigantic pumpkin which tipped the scales in Half Moon Bay at a whopping 402 pounds. It took 5 very strong men to move the pumpkin out of our garden. The boys took second place in the Los Altos Hills Pumpkin Weigh-Off Contest. So, here's our "Baby" as I call it. The boys call it the "BIG BOY!

The boys got chicks!

Well, we've got new additions to our family.... chicks! Leave you wondering. Yes the boys picked out 10 baby chicks - 3 Rhode Island Reds, 3 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Araucanas, 1 Golden Whynadotte, and 1 Silver Laced Whynadotte.... did you ever think we'd know fancy names like that! The boys love cuddling the chicks. Now the wait ... in 5 months we should have hens that lay. Hens lay one a day so.... does that bring us to 10 eggs a day. That should definitely feed three growing boys! As Andrew said, "maybe the eggs will come right around Easter time - we'll have to wait and see."
